The evening of the 15th of June, Americano is sitting hard over his books learning to his exams due nest week. STOP. Unfortunatelly for my education that wasn't even close to what was really going on. At that time I was on my last preparations to my one-week stay in Paris for the famous Paris Air Show 2015. Unluckily the Air Show was exactly at the same time as my exams. Well... as they say : "There are important things and above that there's aviation". So I was up early on the 16th of June to catch my flight to Paris on board a LOT Embraer 190. Adventure is about to start!
Ale wszystko po kolei. Mając wczesny wylot z Warszawy pojawiłem się na lotnisku w okolicach godzin przylotu Boeinga 757 DHLu. Więc jak tylko przeszedłem przez kontrolę bezpieczeństwa od razu udałem się do szyby. Kilka fotek :
But everything once at a time. Having an early departure from Warsaw meant I had to be at the airport at a time close to the arrival of the DHL Boeing 757. So once I got through the security check I went directly to the window to take some shots. A couple of them below :
Start mamy z pasa 29, tak więc oznacza to obowiązkowe zdjęcie Warszawy przy starcie.
We have runway 29 for take-off, that means obligatory shots of Warsaw during our climb.
Lot mija mi bardzo szybko, gdyż zaraz po starcie idę spać, omija mnie nawet tradycyjne Prince Polo! Po dwóch godzinach witam się z widokiem lotniska Paryż-Charles de Gaulle. Szczerze powiedziawszy terminal nie wygląda przepięknie.
The flight passes very quickly, because straight after take-off I fall asleep. I even miss the traditional Prince Polo chocolate bar! After two hours I am greeted with a view of Paris- Charles de Gaulle Airport. To be quite honest, the terminal does not look amazing.
Kołując do naszego gate'u mijamy płytę z samolotami rządowymi. Oczywiście korzystam z okazji do pierwszych paryskich fot.
During taxi to our gate we go pass the government ramp. Of course I take the advantage of taking my first Paris shots.
Wbrew ogólnym opiniom lotniska, odbieram bagaż cały i na czas! Chwilę kręcę się po terminalu, jem śniadanie, ładuję telefon i biorę się za docieranie na Salony. Z akredytacją prasową to żaden problem, po całym terminalu rozwieszone są znaki i ustawione stoiska, które informują o tym dokąd się udać aby wsiąść do autobusu zawożącego na pokazy. Króciuteńka odległość między dwoma lotniskami zabiera nam 45 minut. Wszytko przez korki w rejonie Le Bourget. W końcu dojeżdzamy. Bagaż do depozytu i możemy oficjalnie zacząć tydzień lotniczego szaleństwa! Żar leje się z nieba co już mnie alarmuje, że największym wrogiem przy fotografowaniu będzie mogło okazać się falowanie. Pożyjemy zobaczymy. Teren Salonu jest ogromny więc zajmuje mi trochę czasu ogarnięcie gdzie co jest. W końcu przy odrobinie pomocy docieram do platformy przeznaczonej dla mediów. Ledwo zdążę rozłożyć sprzęt a już na niebie pokazy otwiera Bombardier CSeries 300. Absolutna gwiazda Salonu, ciesząca się ogromnym zainteresowaniem. Sam pokaz dość zachowawczy, bez jakiś szczególnych ewolucji. Podstawowa prezentacja- o to przecież chodziło.
Contrary to all the opinions about CDG airport I receive my baggage unharmed and on time. I spend some time walking around the airport, having breakfast and charging my phone. Then I start getting myself to the Salon du Bourget. With a media pass it's nothing difficult. The whole terminal is full of signs showing directions to the shuttle bus. The short distance to Le Bourget takes over 45 mins because of traffic jams around the airport. When we finally get the I give my bagage to a deposit and am ready for a week of total aviation madness. My only worry is the heat, which could cause some heat haze- a spotters biggest enemy. But we shall see. The Air Show ground appear to be enormous, therefore it takes me a moment to get to know where everything is located. With a little help I finally get to the media ramp. I hardly get my gear set, and off to the sky takes the Bombardier CSeries 300. An absolute star of the Show, having enormous interest of everybody. The display itself was pretty basic, without any risk or outstanding manouvers. Basic presentation- that's pretty much all they needed.
Z racji tego, że Paryskie pokazy są organizowane przez Francuzów, panuje ogromna indoktrynacja technologii francuskich. Wszysko co Airbusa czy Dassaulta jest najlepsze na świecie a reszta to przeciętniaki- taka wiadomość szerzona jest do wszystkich obecnych. Tak więc gdy przyszedł czas na pokaz Airbusa A350XWB, wszyscy zostali zaproszeni do podziwiania podniebnych wyczynów. Jako typowy "Boeing Boy" mocno broniłem się przez tą propagandą ale pomimo wszystko trochę do mnie przesiąknęło. Zobaczywszy po raz pierwszy na żywo A350, stwierdzam, że tragedii nie ma. Końcówki skrzydeł oczywiście tragiczne, ale to kwestia gustu. Akurat trafia nam się, że samolot kołuje idealnie przed nami co daje nam okazję do kilku fajnych zdjęć. Sam pokaz dużo fajniejszy i momentami naprawdę robiący wrażenie.
Considering that PAS15 is organized by the French, an enormous propaganda is shared about how fantastic french technologies are. All Airbus and Dassault products are the best while the rest is just average - that's the message you could feel being given to everyone. And so it was time for the display of the Airbus A350XWB. As a typical "Boeing Boy" I fought hard against this french propaganda, but even I got a little influenced by it. After seeing the A350 for the first time live I must say I quite like it. Of course the wingtips are dreadful, but that's a matter of taste I guess. The aircraft taxis beautifully in front of us giving a chance for some good shots. The display itself is much more dynamic and impressive at moments.
W grafiku na następne demo wpisany został Airbus A380. Jednak tu do gry wchodzi wspomniane falowanie, które z sukcesem zawala większość fot. Pokaz robi jednak wrażenie, największy pasażerski samolot świata w takich pozycjach na takiej wysokości to jednak coś.
The next aircraft on the timetable is the Airbus A380. Unfortunatelly the mentioned heat haze kicks in, making every shot very difficult to take. The demo is good though, the biggest passenger aircraft in the world in such positions and so low above the ground really makes it an interesting display.
To samo dzieje się przy pokazie Falcona 8X. Stąd tylko dokumentacyjnie.
The same happens during the Falcon 8X display, therefore only some documentary shots.
Po pokazie Falcona, w niebo najpierw wzbija się Airbus A400M z dość miernym pokazem, za nim rusza Rafale z pokazem, który według mnie okazał sie największą klapą. Potem jest jeszcze JF17 ale o tej maszynie w następnym poście. Wszystko ogólnie fajnie, Airbus górą i te sprawy. Do czasu. Na pas wjeżdża Boeing 787-9 w barwach Vietnam Airlines. Kilka dni przed startem Salonów ukazał sie w internecie filmik z ich pokazu dynamicznego. Praktycznie pionowe wznoszenie zapierało dech w piersiach nawet tym, którzy z lotnictwem mają niewiele wspólnego. Zobaczyć ten manewr na żywo to jest coś. Pokaz Dreamlinera absolutnie wywiał wszystkie wcześniejsze pokazy, które i tak były na wysokim poziomie. Boeing po raz kolejny górą!
After the Falcon display, it was time for the Airbus A400M, that finished with a pretty average flight, right after it was the Rafale with a worst display of the whole Air Show. The military block was closed with an JF17 but I will describe this fighter jet in my next post. So everything is cool. Airbus proves to be the best and so on. Just for a second though. Boeings 787-9 lines up on the runway. The freshly painted Vietnam Airlines livery shines in the sun. A couple of days before the start of PAS15, a video was uploaded to the internet of the demo flight of the 787-9. Even people not connected with aviation would hold the breath watching a practically vertical take-off. To see this live is something unforgettable. The display of the Dreamliner totally blew all the others away, even though some of them were on a really high level. Once again Boeing rules!
Z końcem pokazu Dreamlinera nadchodzi koniec pokazów dynamicznych. Pozwalam sobie jeszcze na krótki spacer i robię kilka zdjęć. Na początku ogólny widok części wystawy statycznej. Widać ogromny udział Qatar Airways, stąd niektórzy złośliwie mówią na Paryskie Salony "Qatar Air Show". Na następnym zdjęciu A320 Qatara a na końcu zdążyli postawić z powrotem na stojance Vietnamczyka. Ależ on się pięknie błyszczał!
Together with the end of the Dreamliner display, the whole static diplay block also comes to an end. I take a short walk round the static display, taking a couple of shots. The first shot shows the general view of a part of the static display. One can see the enormous attendence of Qatar Airways. Some even sarcastically call PAS15 "the Qatar Air Show". On the next photo is the Qatar A320. The last photo shows the display B789 back on its display position. Look at that shine!
Mój pierwszy dzień dobiega końca, odbieram bagaż i rozpoczynam podróż na drugi koniec Paryża gdzie zaplanowany miałem nocleg. Następnie posty z pokazów już są w drodze!
My first day comes to an end, I collect my baggage and start my journey to the other side of Paris where I was going to stay the night. The next entries from the Show are on the way!
