Otwarte bramy / Open gates

 Moim ostatnim zetknięciem z Paris Air Show 2015 został jeden z dni otwartych. Razem ze mną przybyło około 100 tys. ludzi tworzących ogromny tłum. Na szczęście prasówka pozwalała na trzymanie się z dala od najbardziej zatłoczonych miejsc a także dała sposobność na jeszcze kilka ciekawych rzeczy. Razem z Konstantym rozpoczęliśmy od przejścia się po wystawie statycznej składającej się z mniejszych maszyn. To tam złapałem Dorniera Do-228NG.
My last visit to the Paris Air Show 2015 was one of the open days. Along with me came around 100 thousand people forming an enormous crowd. Thanks to the media pass though, I managed to avoid the most crowded places and got the possibility of doing a couple more interresting things on the last day. Konstanty joined me for the open days and so we started with the static display of smaller aircraft. It was here that I caught this Dornier Do-228NG.

Kolejną atrakcją była możliwość zwiedzania badawczego Fokkera 100 F-GPXL, którego dotychczas miałem okazję fotografować tylko z zewnątrz. Niestety zwiedzanie odbywało się po francusku, co nie pozwalało mi na zrozumienie zbyt wiele. Dałem radę zrozumieć jednak, że kokpit tego egzemplarza minimalnie różni się od klasycznych F100. Zagadka dla spostrzegawczych.
The next attraction was to be a tour around F-GPXL- a research Fokker 100, which until that time I only could photograph from the outside. Unfortunatelly the tour guide could only speak French so I didn't understand much. I did manage to catch out the fun fact about the cockpit of the visited aircraft. There is a small differrence - a challenge for the observant ones!

Potem przyszła jedna z najciekawszych okazji całego dnia. Airbus zorganizował wycieczki po pokładzie testowego Airbusa A350XWB, dokładnie tego samego egzemplarza, który prezentował się przed nami przez cały tydzień. Wbrew pozorom samolot w środku wyglądem przypomina każdy inny samolot liniowy a nie egzemplarz testowy. Jest jednak drobna różnica. Mniej więcej w połowie długości samolotu znajduje się specjalne stanowisko służące do symulacji różnych sytuacji awaryjnych na pokładzie. W czasie lotu operujący komputerem może wprowadzić wiele zmian obserwując tym samym nie tylko reakcję samego samolotu ale także i jego załogi. Niesamowicie ciekawa sprawa, której na co dzień nie łatwo jest podziwiać. Wisienką na torcie był mały upominek od pracowników Airbusa w postaci Safety Carda. Wizyta jak najbardziej udana.
Then one of the most fun parts of the day came. Airbus organized a tour around the A350XWB test bed, exactly the same one that would do all of the flying displays through the whole week. Astonishingly, the interior of the plane is no differrent to a normal passenger airliner. The only differrence is in about the middle of the fuselage where a special computer is mounted. The operator can simulate many emergency situations from here and observe the reactions of the aircraft as well as of the crew. So interresting to see. At the end I was given a very special gift - a Safety Card from this very aircraft - extremely rare for a collector. What a success!

Korzystając z okazji, przekonałem pracowników Airbusa, aby wpuścili mnie do Airbusa A400M. Takim sposobem w końcu zrobiłem zdjęcie kokpitu tej maszyny i muszę przyznać - wygląda imponująco!
While at the Airbus headquarters I managed to persuade the Airbus employees to let me into the A400M. This way I finally managed to get a cockpit shot of this beast and I've got to say : It's pretty impressive!

 Wizyta w Airbusie była ostatnią takiego typu. Zbliżał się czas pokazu dynamicznego, który został zmodyfikowany tak aby był bardziej atrakcyjny dla zwykłych turystów. Szukając więc optymalnej miejscówki, złapałem kilka bizjetów poparkowanych wokół otwartej strefy a także maszyn, których jeszcze nie łapałem, w tym An-178 - jeden z moich ważnych celów na PAS15.
 My visit at Airbus was the last one of this type. The dynamic display block was coming up. It had been modified in order to be more attractive for the wide audience. While looking for the optimal location, we managed to get a couple of shots of the bizjets parked around the place as also the Antonov An-178 - one of my biggest aims for the parisian air show.

Pogoda z każdą minutą ulegała poprawie co tylko ostrzyło apetyt na maszyny prezentowane podczas pokazu dynamicznego. Oprócz oczywistych uczestników w postaci Airbusa A350, na którego pokładzie byłem chwilę wcześniej, i Airbusa A380 na niebie miało pokazać się wiele klasyków takich jak DC-3 w barwach Air France czy CL-414, służący do gaszenia pożarów. Swój pokaz po raz kolejny dał JF17 jak i Airbus A400M. Całość dopieszczona była pokazem zespołu Patrouille de France. Tego dnia najważniejszy dla mnie był DC-3. Co za wspaniała rzecz móc jeszcze oglądać taki klasyk w tak pięknym stanie. Coś pięknego!
The weather was improving with each minute which only made the apppetite grow for the aircraft to be presented during the dynamic display. Apart from the obvious Airbus A350 (the same one the tour took place on) and the Airbus A380, an Air France DC-3 was planned to fly as well as the fire-fighting CL-414. A JF17 display was also scheduled followed by an Airbus A400M. The whole block was pumped by a flying display perfromed by the Patrouille de France team. But the DC-3 was my priority. How wonderfull to be able to admire such a classic in such good shape. Fantastic!

I tak się skończyła zabawa w Paris Air Show 2015. Na koniec obowiązkowo selfie - tak żeby pokazać ogromną liczbę ludzi a także ogromne plusy platformy fotograficznej przygotowanej dla prasy. Emocje w Paryżu jednak się nie kończyły. Przed nami był czas na lotniska cywilne i klasyczny spotting.
And this really is the end of my fun at PAS15. Obviously a selfie had to be taken, this time for two reasons : first to show the numbers of visitors and second to just show what a privilige it is to have a media pass on such events and have access to photo platforms like these. Our adventures in Paris weren't even close to coming to an end. We were only getting ready for the real civilian airports and some proper spotting.
